Botulinum toxin injections should not be used during pregnancy or while breast feeding. It is also contraindicated in persons with certain neuromuscular diseases such as Myasthenia Gravis.
Caution is advised in persons taking the following medications:
- Certain antibiotics (may increase the effect of botulinum toxin)
- Blood thinning agents (may result in bruising)
