Cosmetic Fillers

Injectable skin fillers introduce new methods of facial rejuvenation and wrinkle treatment without surgery. These fillers are used to increase tissue volume (as with lip augmentation), reduce wrinkles, and improve skin’s overall contour.

The fillers used at Evolve Medical Associates include hyaluronic gel (Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane) and calcium hydroxyapatite  (Radiesse).

Hyaluronic acid gel is a protective lubricating gel, produced naturally by the body, that binds with water to plump the skin.

Calcium hydroxylapatite is a mineral that is a major component of bone. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a well-matched (biocompatible) material that dissolves in the body (biodegradable) and is implanted in the form of a gel.

Restylane

Restylane® is a cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. Restylane® encourages the body’s own moisture to restore volume to the injection area. Clinical studies have shown the average Restylane® treatment results can last six months or longer.

Perlane

Perlane® is the newest cosmetic dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. Perlane® is primarily the same product as Restylane®, but Perlane® filler contains a larger concentration of hyaluronic acid. Because of this higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, Perlane® is usually used for larger folds, while Restylane® is better suited for smaller wrinkles or to maintain the results of a previous Perlane® injection.

Juvederm

Recently approved by the FDA, Juvéderm™ injectable gel is a “next-generation” hyaluronic acid dermal filler. The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

Radiesse
