Donald Sudy, MD Do you have an important event coming up such as portrait or wedding photo shoot? Have your skin “Red Carpet Ready” by beginning a skin rejuvenation plan several weeks prior. You want your skin to glow and your face to look refreshed without looking different. Since changes in skin quality occur gradually and you want to leave enough time to address any potential complications, I recommend beginning a rejuvenation plan a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks out.
A simple 4 week rejuvenation plan to boost your appearance safely, but effectively, consists of microdermabrasion or light chemical peels done weekly, dermal fillers for the “paranthesis” that extend from nose to mouth or for more youthfulness to the cheeks, and Botox for frown lines or crowsfeet. For clients needing more substantial treatments with lasers, beginning the treatment sessions 3 months out is essential.
