Sclerotherapy is an elective procedure and can be done whenever the individual wants to have it done. The procedure often does not take more than 30 min and can even be done during an office lunch break. You can resume most activities shortly after each session. Because wearing compression stockings is necessary, most people opt to have their treatment in the fall, winter or early spring.
