Friendly, informative and what I especially love is that they don’t over sell or overdo.
Dysport & Xeomin
DYSPORT & XEOMIN TREATMENTS IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
Dysport and XEOMIN are effective alternatives to BOTOX in Charlotte, NC at Evolve Medical Associates.
While many people visit Evolve Medical Associates for BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments in Charlotte, NC, a growing number are interested in alternative neurotoxin wrinkle treatments. Dysport and Xeomin are more recent choices that also treat facial wrinkles caused by muscle contractions. Our staff of professionals has extensive experience in performing a variety of facial rejuvenation treatments. They look forward to helping you look younger and more refreshed without surgery or downtime.
ABOUT DYSPORT & XEOMIN
Dysport and XEOMIN are a lot like BOTOX. All 3 products contain a highly purified form of botulinum toxin A that temporarily prevents specific facial muscles from contracting. Dysport, like BOTOX, contains protein additives, although the protein in Dysport is smaller than that in BOTOX. XEOMIN is sometimes called “naked BOTOX” because it has no other ingredients.
We use Dysport and XEOMIN in our Charlotte facility to treat the same concerns as BOTOX, which include:
- Vertical frown lines between the eyebrows
- Horizontal lines across the forehead
- Wrinkles at the outer corners of the eyes called crow’s feet
We often combine neurotoxin treatments with dermal filler treatments for an even greater facial rejuvenation.
DYSPORT & XEOMIN TREATMENTS
At Evolve, we perform Dysport and XEOMIN treatments in our office using a short, thin needle. The injections are made in precise areas of the muscles to give you results that look natural. After treatment, you can return to your regular daily activities. The lines and wrinkles will gradually begin to fade approximately 2 to 3 days after Dysport treatments and within 5 to 7 days for XEOMIN. Improvements from both treatments last about 3 to 4 months and may be maintained with regular touch-ups.
DYSPORT & XEOMIN FAQS
ARE DYSPORT AND XEOMIN SAFE?
Yes. The FDA approved Dysport in 2009 and XEOMIN in 2011. When administered by an experienced professional, these products are very safe.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTOX, DYSPORT, AND XEOMIN?
While the 3 products produce similar results, there are differences between them. Patients are less likely to develop antibodies to XEOMIN than the other 2 products because XEOMIN doesn’t contain any additives. XEOMIN may be a good option for people who have become resistant to BOTOX after multiple treatments. Dysport tends to take effect sooner than the other products so it may be a good choice for a treatment within a few days of a special event. Dysport has been found to spread farther from the injection site than the other products which may be beneficial when treating a wide area such as the forehead. Our staff is experienced in the use of all 3 products and will determine which is most likely to be the right choice for you.
HOW DO THESE PRODUCTS DIFFER FROM DERMAL FILLERS?
Dermal fillers treat wrinkles instantly by filling them out from within the skin. XEOMIN and Dysport, along with BOTOX, are wrinkle relaxers. They cause wrinkles to soften gradually by stopping the associated facial muscles from contracting. Both types of treatment provide temporary improvement and must be repeated periodically to maintain improvements.
